As the ultimate personal quality test, I took the Wanderbelt’s final prototype with me on holiday in Malaysia. After all this time designing, tweaking and developing it, it felt so great to wear the real thing in final  colours and materials :-).

I wore it full time for 2 weeks, just to make sure I tested it properly and under all possible Malaysian travel conditions, which ranged from reasonably warm to incredibly hot and sweaty. I wore it walking the streets of Kuala Lumpur, driving the motorbike in Langkawi, discovering gorgeous George Town and climbing the hills of Cameron Highlands, visiting tea plantations.

I’m really happy the final result is exactly what I have been dreaming to get realized! It is comfortable to wear, keeps everything inside dry even in the most sweaty weather conditions, and it is hardly visible under your shirt. It also looks fun featuring our own special travel map print, showing the names of places we have visited on our travels. Based on earlier feedback from female travellers, we will however not only have the printed version available, but also offer a fully skin coloured version for those of you who would like an even more discreet option.

We have now placed our first order, final quality tests by the testing and certification laboratory are up and running and production is now scheduled. We are excited to be able to announce the first products are expected to be available from August 2015. So hang in there, you will soon be able to travel with one yourself!
